Course Description: Surgical crown lengthening is one of the most misunderstood procedures in all of dentistry. The literature on this topic extends from one end of the spectrum to the other. The clinician must consider the amount of sound tooth structure that is present and determine whether it is better for a patient to have the tooth extracted or have an implant placed.
