Program Track: Tissue Engineering and Hard Tissue Reconstruction

Course Description: Facial changes in adult patients occur in all age groups, although the exact onset and magnitude of these changes and vectors vary and are not always predictable. These 3-dimensional changes influence the associated bone and soft tissue position relative to the static position of the implant, thus resulting in negative aesthetic and functional consequences. This one-hour webinar will provide a new surgical protocol, including osteotomy modification and various grafting approaches to reduce these undesirable consequences. Originally broadcast on Tuesday, April 22, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. CT.

Educational Objectives:

·         Identify potential vectors and risk factors.

·         Explore surgical planning and modification to reduce the impact of such changes.

·         Review surgical procedures for patients who have been treated to correct undesirable aesthetic results.

Course length: 1 hour

Original release date: May 15, 2020

Expiration date: May 15, 2023
