Course Description: Dental implant treatment has been well accepted all over the world. It is one of the optimum options for the oral rehabilitation. There are however some cases with esthetic failure due to the expected or unexpected biological changes. In clinical situation, those cases need to be treated with acceptable result. By the scientific development, various approaches were reported for the prevention and recovering for devastating esthetic problem periodontally and prosthetically. This presentation will focus on how those challenging cases can be prevented and will be successfully handled by the collaborative work with surgical and prosthetic approaches.

Educational Objectives:

• Comprehend the principles of biological alteration after surgical approach
• Identify the indications of the various modalities of soft tissue and hard tissue regeneration techniques
• Discuss the prosthetic compensation for the lack of peri-implant tissue which surgical approach is less likely to augment enough
• Provide a decision-making process to prevent and recover challenging esthetic complications
